view of Bernese Alps This tour combines trekking through some of the most beautiful areas of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland with the added advantage of being able to explore the areas before moving on. While remaining for a day in an area, optional walks and activities would be available to cater for different interests and physical fitness. For example, one can picnic in alpine meadows surrounded by wild flowers beside a melted glacier stream, or make a challenging hike to a mountain hut offering panoramic views of local peaks and valleys.

Overlooking Bachsee The average walking time per day will be about 4 hours. Optional extras will make it possible to increase this walking time to an average of 6 hours per day. (See fitness requirements and equipment list for more information.) The complete tour (14 nights) starts in Kandersteg and finishes in Wilderswil. (Guests can walk sections of the tour; different tour lengths are noted below. See also Dates & Prices for more details.)
