Sometimes the terrain is extremely steep, and can require an up-hill ride of 1-2 hours continuously. Guests will have to have had previous experience on mountain bikes, and be fit (see fitness requirements and Self Guided Mountain Bike and Hike Tour Itinerary). Bernese Oberland Self Guided Ibex Challenge Tour This tour hikes into wild scenery with the luxury of staying in 3-star hotels. It is physically challenging with optional rest days every other day if required. This tour can be extremely strenuous if all of the difficult options are taken.
